I had a similar run-in like others here but since I’m a mac user, I just mess with them a bit. I act like I’m following their instructions, like clicking around on my computer, then after a bit I’m like, “Why are you calling me when I use a mac?” and they just hang up right away. Pretty funny how quick they bail!

Got a call from an Asian woman early this morning around 9:15 asking about my computer. Told her I don’t even have one, then just hung up. Seemed pretty dodgy to me.

Got a call earlier from some Asian bloke saying he was from a tech firm - didn't catch what it was called though. He wanted to talk about my computer but as soon as I said I put together my own PCs, he just hung up. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Just got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from Microsoft. He asked if I was near my PC. Don’t fall for it, it’s a total scam. Microsoft never rings you up like that. Don’t waste your time talking to him!

Got a call from 07704021388 this afternoon, about 1.25pm on the 15th of Dec. The bloke sounded Asian and said he was ringing from Windows. Told him I’m all about Apple stuff and not interested. Ended the call sharpish. Seriously, Microsoft, stop bothering folks like this.

Today, I got a call from this number pretending to be from Windows and asking to access my computer. When I joked and said, “Want my PIN as well?”, the person instantly got rude, shouting stuff like “Who do you think you are, you f***ing idiot?” The voice was a man with a thick Indian accent and he even used my last name. I could hear a lot of noise and people talking in the background. Interestingly, a woman had already phoned me earlier today from the same number.
