Yesterday, I got a text from this number saying something like GOVUK: you're qualified for a cheaper energy bill through the Energy Bills Support Scheme. It gave a link https://energyukgov-rebate-scheme.com/ to apply. I was suspicious about it so I looked up the website and the phone number. Really appreciate you posting this info, it helped me avoid getting scammed.

I just received a communication from GOVUK claiming I'm qualified for a reduced energy bill through something called the Energy Bills Support Scheme. They directed me to apply via a link. Seems to me like a total con, to be honest!

Some bloke called me saying he was from HMRE, wanted my bank details to sort out a tax issue. Sounded proper dodgy to me, so I just hung up. Reckon it’s one of those scams trying to steal your info. Be careful, folks!

It rang like five times and just stopped, I didn't pick up. It kept ringing on and off throughout the day though.

I saw I missed a call from this number, so I tried calling back, but all I got was a message saying the number isn’t valid. Really strange!

This morning I got two calls from 07703 438796, I thought maybe it was someone I was waiting on so I picked up both times but there was nothing, just dead silence before they hung up. Having checked online, it's clear these are nothing but scammers. Honestly, I reckon they should get reported to their network and get blocked for good. Or better yet, give them something proper unpleasant to remember for their trouble.
