They claimed they were calling me back because my number showed up on their phone. I never dialled this number, so watch out.

Got a call from some guy claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my licence had run out and asked if I’d like to renew or lose it. I told him to just cancel it, and he said alright, wished me a good day and then hung up. He was a really polite chap with a foreign accent. Don’t let them fool ya. Stay sharp out there!

Got a call from a guy claiming he was from some Windows support team saying my PC was at risk. When I asked how he managed to get my contact since I’m on the telephone preference service, he told me that only applies to scams, but I told him it’s actually to avoid any cold calls. He was relentless. Said he’d left me like 15 messages waiting for a reply. I just ended the call. He rang back later, but I ignored it. Definitely some kind of con!

At about 09:20 on 27/10/20 I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Microsoft. He was really persistent and told me that my account had been involved in some fraud. According to him, my computer had been sending out messages asking people for money. He even mentioned that I hadn’t used my computer for a few weeks, suggesting he’d been sending me alerts all that time. He wanted me to check the notifications on my PC, but I said I wasn't free then and asked when he could call again. That’s why I'm here looking this up now.

Not sure who keeps ringing me, they never pick up when I call back but still keep going with the calls non stop. Must be really persistent!

someone rung me up saying they were from a charity asking if i wanted to give a donation. i told them no and quickly got off the phone. its not that im against donating, but i avoid doing it over the phone or internet cause im always worried it might be a scam. i prefer to support local charities in person whenever i can.
