Got a call from some energy company claiming they checked their files and said my gas boiler is more than ten years old. Number was 1277. Felt a bit suspicious to me.

Got a call claiming my gas boiler had been running for over a decade. I told them I don’t even have one, so they must’ve got their info mixed up. The woman on the line was quite cheeky and just hung up on me. Then, they kept ringing me three more times one after another - felt a bit scary to be honest.

They asked if I was the homeowner and mentioned something about my boiler being older than 10 years. Then they started going on about some government scheme to cut down on CO2 emissions. Felt like a total rip-off to me - just trying to push a new boiler when mine works just fine. Definitely seemed like a scam.
