this woman called me to offer some help with my shares and investments. i told her sorry, but all my cash is locked up in a business buying roller skates for goats. then she said she could help me free up some of that money and put me in touch with other investors. fair enough, i guess!

Got a call today from what seemed like Jersey, but no one actually talked. I just heard some kind of background noise, maybe a TV or something. Weird.

Received loads of calls from a number in Jersey, but I never picked up. Kept ringing nonstop.

Got a right dodgy bloke ringing me up trying to get me to put money into some shares or whatever.

Got a call from some bloke asking if I wanted to put money into bitcoin. I told him no cheers and then he went on wishing me a great day, it was pretty odd and made me feel a bit off.

I got a call from someone asking to talk to this lady who’s been dead for like over 9 years now. Apparently, he was trying to discuss some investments she supposedly made in bg shares. Bit odd, to say the least.

Got a call from an English bloke around 3:20 this afternoon, but by the time I picked up the phone, he’d already gone. I’m going to block the number through BT.

Any number starting with 07700-9xxxxx is supposed to be off-limits, so if someone’s using it, they’re probably trying to trick you. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.

i checked the caller id and it showed the call was from abroad. i tried calling back but only got their voicemail which had no message on it. used 1471 to see what number called me and it matched. since they didnt say anything, im going to block the number using my BT account.

I got a call and my provider, 02, said the number was originating from Jersey.

I got a call from a strange number overseas and then from this mobile digits. The caller didn't say anything, just some voices in the background. I'm guessing it was just some telemarketer trying to sell something.

It showed up as an international call at first, then switched to a mobile number. I always wait for them to say something first before I answer. All I heard was some office noise in the background, then it just got cut off.

Got a call earlier and they left a voicemail, but when I played it back all I could hear was a few seconds of office background sounds. Weird!
