Got a message from HSBC saying a payment was made using a new device, but I didn't read the rest and just deleted it straight away without opening.

The phone only rang a single time and hung up just as I was about to pick up, which was a bit of a relief after reading what's been said here.

For the past two weeks, I've been bombarded with calls from numbers between 07700 370800 up to 370883. Whenever I answer, they claim to represent some "profit centre" or "education centre". I've been blocking each one as they come through. Even tried an entirely different start to the number today - 07515 570305 - and that got blocked straight away too. Absolutely frustrating!

So this guy, Ivan, rings me up at 9 at night just ’cause I once mentioned I was into trading stocks or something. Well, excuse me! He didn’t come across as pushy or anything but I didn’t even stick around to hear what he wanted. Told him no thanks and ended the call. Then straight onto block list.

Got calls from this number a few times, all around 8 to 10 at night. Each time it showed a Jersey number starting with 07700, but the last few digits changed. When I picked up, there was nothing but silence, so I just put the phone down. After a couple of tries, I blocked it, but they kept calling from similar numbers. Quite frustrating!

was just a calm thursday afternoon and suddenly all i could hear was loud noise, then it went silent... really ruins the vibe! not the best at all :/

These calls are a total nuisance and feel like a scam. I asked them nicely to stop calling and to leave me alone, but no luck. They also use the number +46 8 446 88120, which is from Stockholm, Sweden, and sometimes ring from 0151 808 1429 too. Honestly, they’re more annoying than a bad cold.

This number keeps pestering me endlessly, along with a few others that seem to be from the same bunch. Honestly, it’s driving me round the bend getting about three or four calls every single day. It’s proper harassment and surely breaks the Harassment Act 1997, as this feels like malicious communication to me. I don't understand why nothing’s being done about these scammers and con artists. It's like the country’s gone mad and the crazies are in charge!

I was asked if I was the phone’s owner, but when I asked for his name, he just wouldn’t say. Had a foreign accent, maybe Eastern European or Middle Eastern, hard to tell. Didn’t want to explain why he was ringing me. Not exactly bothered about revealing my bank details, but I do want to know who he is and where they got my number from. He kept saying he didn’t have to tell me. So I just said, fine, goodbye! This is the third time I’ve had a call like this this morning, all similar numbers and they claim to be calling from Jersey? Utter nonsense.

I think this might be one of those scam calls trying to trick you into thinking your computer has a virus. Definitely something to be wary of.
