Man rang saying he was from EDF (who are our current provider) and wanted to speak to the boss. I asked if he was from EDF but wouldn't answer and just said again that he wanted to speak to the boss. Extremely rude and hung up when I said she wasn't available.

Got a call from this number earlier, just a quick breath then a loud sigh before hanging up 😂 I don't pick up unknowns but if it was important they’d probably leave a proper message, right?

Some guy named Joel rang me, trying to chat with someone whose name sounded like it was pinched off some company register. When I asked who he was, he claimed to be "the electrical accounts manager." I asked if that was for the entire world or just one firm, and he just hung up on me. I called back, but it went straight to a recorded message from some place called On Utility. Definitely one of those random cold calls.

Some bloke rang saying he was from British Gas Lite and claimed my contract was ending soon, which it definitely isn’t. He tried to tell me my daily standing charge was £1.40 and that it’d shoot up to £2.60, but I got suspicious straight away. When I asked him to send the details by email, he said he couldn’t do that. I started chuckling at those numbers because they sounded off. After that, he just ended the call on me.
