For the past two days I kept getting calls where as soon as I picked up, the caller would just drop off. I think I caught a voice speaking some foreign language in the background. Seemed really dodgy, so I’ve blocked the number now, definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Someone called me saying they were from Citizen's Advice, but I wasn’t so sure it was legit. Felt a bit dodgy to be honest.

Someone rang me trying to get me to go onto their site. When I asked for their FCA registration number, he said it was 897° 774. I looked it up and couldn’t find anything on the official register. Then I asked for a UK address, and after a bit of hesitation, he told me 29 George Street, London. He claimed to be working for the UK government! I told him to think about who he’s trying to con and suggested he should quit before I ended the call and hung up.

It really seemed like one of those call centre calls. The company name was all mumbled and couldn’t make out what they were saying. When I asked them to say it again, they just wouldn’t. Classic call centre behaviour. Thought it was one of those PPI calls but they kept saying ‘premium’ instead of PPI. Apart from the dodgy company name, the person was quite polite and spoke pretty clearly.
