Looked up the number when they rang and found out it was a spam call. Got a text from the same folks saying they’re a housing team offering help with repairs that haven’t been sorted yet. Was a bit suspicious as I didn’t know the number, so answered carefully. I reckon it’s a scam and have blocked them both now.

Every time I attempt to return the call, I’m met with a message from Vodafone, my phone carrier, letting me know that the number isn’t part of my plan. Sounds rather dodgy to me; I can ring any other mobile number without any fuss at all. Definitely feels like I’m being pulled into some sort of scam here!

Got a bloke with a Scouse accent calling me here in Leeds, claiming he's from the council repairs crew. Told him I never asked the council for any repairs and to stop calling since he’s done it loads of times before. He got proper nasty, saying he’s never rung me, then hung up. Tried calling back and the message said I’d been contacted by the housing resolution team, press 1 to leave a message or 9 to take me off their list. Really weird phone call.

Someone pretending to be from the council about repairs called me. They already knew my full name and the area I live in, but they wanted my full address to check for any outstanding repairs (which I don’t have).
