I kept ringing back for around 10 minutes and finally they snapped at me to quit calling. Gave me a good chuckle, to be honest.

I received a rather peculiar call regarding alleged damage to my property, which is quite the joke since I'm still a minor and do not possess any real estate! Naturally, I decided to humour the chap on the other end, and it swiftly became evident that it was a blatant insurance scam. To be fair, I had a bit of fun with him, claiming I was a fugitive planning to flee the country. Strangely enough, he went along with it, saying he would join me-which is quite unusual as most scammers tend to lose their tempers when you don’t play their game. Hats off to Richard for that! Nevertheless, don’t be fooled; THIS NUMBER IS A COMPLETE SCAM!!!

Someone rang me saying they were from Housing Repair Services and asked if I was having any issues with my landlord about unfinished repairs. I said I wasn’t. Then they wanted me to give my address but I didn’t feel comfortable sharing that. I told them I actually own the place myself. They hung up after that. From what I’ve read here, sounds like this is probably another one of those scams going around.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the government wanting to check if there was damp in the place I rent. Sounded dodgy straight away. They struggled to get my name right, and I swear the accent hinted they might be sitting somewhere in India, not a UK call centre. Definitely a scam. Wouldn’t trust them for a second. Got a call from someone claiming to be Eric, said he was ringing from the Government about damage to my rental property. Thing is, I don’t even rent anywhere!
