I called Vodafone’s customer care to check on this number and they told me they hadn’t tried contacting me with any deals or anything like that. Looks like it’s a scam for sure. I passed along the number to them so they can keep an eye out for it.

Sounds like a scam to me. Someone with a foreign accent rang up saying they were from Vodafone. The phone number was almost the same as another 07700 number that’s reported loads as a Vodafone scam, just one digit off. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.
