Got a phone call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I owed about £1380 in back taxes and that if I didn’t pay straight away, there would be serious trouble. I got really worried at first and tried to check if it was real by asking for something in writing, but they wouldn’t send anything. After getting some advice, I figured out it was just a scam. The calls didn’t stop though; they kept ringing from different mobiles, which has been really stressful and made it harder for me to look after my relative who has cancer. Does anyone know how I can make these persistent calls stop?
