Got three missed calls from a number like 076 7784 6979, last 4 digits different though. I replied with a text but no reply back. When I phoned it, it just went straight to the O2 voicemail. The ring tone sounded odd, kinda faint and echoey or something like that.

this set of numbers belongs to Core Telecom and we assign them carefully following Ofcom's rules. calling this number costs 30p each time. mobile carriers might add extra fees but we cant do anything about that. the number doesn’t support texts so you shouldn’t be charged for any txt msgs. we’re looking into how the number is being used and if it’s used in the wrong way we will cut off the service. the number is currently suspended while we check, cheers

076 7784 6974 The last four digits are a tad different, yet the experience was identical. I’ve had three missed calls from this number. I shot off a text in reply, but received no response. When I tried calling back, it just rang out to some O2 voicemail. Oddly enough, the ringing sounded quite peculiar, almost like it was echoing or a bit metallic.
