I got a call from someone claiming to be a manager at Green Eco Centre, using a Bournemouth landline, saying that homes in my postcode could get a government grant for loft insulation. They wouldn’t say exactly which areas qualified, but promised that their manager would ring back soon to book a free survey with no pressure. However, a quick look at Trustpilot shows loads of bad reviews about them, accusing them of pushy sales tactics and even scams. Plus, the follow-up call I got was from a mobile number, which just made the whole thing feel even more suspicious.
