I received a call from the number 01615330438 after choosing not to answer. I suspect this is linked to some sort of scam operation, particularly since I was in the process of searching for a reputable life insurance provider and had just filled out my details on a website. Almost immediately, the phone rang! That raised some serious red flags, prompting me to pause and take my time. In just a fortnight, I’ve had a string of missed calls from 07624804616 and a few others too. It's becoming increasingly apparent that these are indeed scammers, especially given the recorded messages warning me of supposed fraudulent activity associated with my national insurance number. Honestly, what a load of nonsense! If there were any truth to such claims, it would be far more serious than a phone call-there would be officials at your door along with the police, ready to take action. I really hope these con artists are caught sooner rather than later!

Got a text from this number: [#]08000mumdad[###] saying "valued customer, Welcome Back!! Please stay Covid Safe. Opt out reply stop." They asked me to call 08000686323 as well. When I tried to text stop, it just wouldn’t send, so I started thinking it might be a spam message.

I didn’t pick up, and right after that, my phone just stopped working - a bit strange if you ask me.

When I picked up, there was nothing but silence. Maybe they dialled wrong? The call didn’t actually end on its own though, so I just hung up after a few moments.

I took a closer look at this phone number and discovered it’s linked to a VOIP service. At first glance, it appears just like a standard mobile number, but don’t be fooled - it’s actually a premium rate line. Whatever you do, steer clear of calling it back! You could end up forking out quite a bit of cash for just a few minutes on the line. Pure scam, if you ask me!

Absolutely all 076 numbers are VoIP lines, and calling them incurs hefty charges. It’s definitely a scam! Best to avoid this number at all costs!

Strangely enough, I received a text from this number on Christmas day - what a jolly coincidence! Since our phone was utterly knackered, we couldn’t make heads or tails of the message they sent. We tried giving them a ring, but it turns out the number is uncontactable. Quite odd, isn’t it? After a bit of digging online, it seems this could be a bit dodgy!
