If you ain’t able to block them, when they pick up just press 5 if they say so, or simply tell them you’re not interested and ask to have all your details deleted from their records. They’re supposed to follow your wishes. If they ring again after that, make sure you report it to Ofcom.

Somebody called about the green deal for windows, said to press 5 for info or 9 to stop calls. I pressed 9 loads of times but it doesn’t seem to work, they keep ringing me. Hey, just wanted to say this number has been blacklisted on my end (thank goodness) thanks to Call Protect. It’s pretty much the same as 1571 but you dial 1572 instead. As far as I know, BT and PlusNet customers get this service - give your provider a ring or google 1572 Call Protect. Definitely a handy feature to have.
