5 yearsI got a call from a woman claiming to be from the National Crime Agency, saying my National Insurance number had been misused. Luckily, I have a Personal Tax Account, so I knew right away it was a scam. When I asked for her employer ID to verify her identity on my system, she suddenly started yelling at me. Please, if you get calls like this, check your details directly on Gov.uk using your Personal Tax Account. These scammers are really bad and trying to steal your identity.
