SCAM alert! Got a call from 07611 168873 where some automated message claimed it was from Amazon. They said someone tried buying an iPhone using my Amazon card and told me to press 1 to confirm the purchase. I didn't press anything and the call just dropped after a bit. When I tried ringing back, it wouldn’t even go through. Checked my Amazon account and all’s normal, no alerts or anything. Definitely dodgy.

19/05/14 Picked up the phone but didn’t hear anything, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from a mobile number guy saying he was with USwitch, asking for whoever handles our gas and electric. I didn’t buy it, so I cut the call and double-checked with USwitch. Turns out that was a fake caller since they only call from 0800 numbers, which sounds about right. I went ahead and reported the number to the ICO.
