1 yearToday I had almost the same thing happen. I got a text from someone calling me Mum, saying their phone was being fixed. They wanted me to reply or ring back once I saw the message. It was lunchtime and I was a bit distracted, so I ended up replying to see if they were alright. When nobody replied, I rang the number but got no answer. Looking back it’s clear it was a scam. I’ve blocked the caller now, changed my passwords, and sorted out my security settings.
