+447365060057 Someone just messaged me sayin "Hey mum, this is my new number" with a link to WhatsApp. I clicked it first, then it hit me it might be a scam. So I deleted WhatsApp, blocked the number and switched my phone off. Do you reckon I need to do anything else to be safe?

Got a text that seemed fishy, said: "Hey dad, here’s my new number +447365060057. You can get rid of the old one now. Ping me back on this one once you get the message." Definitely got my alarm bells ringing about a possible scam.
