Had a call from someone saying they were from HMRC saying I owed £3000 in tax. I asked for something in writing, which they said couldn’t be done and that I had to pay immediately. I told them that was crazy and I wanted to appeal right away. They just ended the call. I then phoned HMRC directly to check and they confirmed they never contacted me. Definitely a scam - watch out for this!
