It appears that my telephone banking has been compromised, with a cheeky hacker altering my contact number to 07598797219. Fortunately, my bank was quick off the mark and notified me of the change, allowing me to swiftly disable my telephone banking to thwart any further fraudulent activity. I suspect the individual behind this number might be the same rogue who sent me a dodgy text urging me to ring my bank, but of course, it provided a number that didn’t match the legitimate ones. Upon dialling, I found that this mobile number seems to lead to a voicemail service with Vodafone.
