here we go again, some mug trying to con my nan out of her pension and im pretty sure he sleeps soundly at night. you’d think his folks would be embarrassed. Scammers like this are a nightmare.

Just had a call from some guy called James who claimed to be from ‘Effective Guard’. He was telling me they couldn’t get the last payment for boiler cover, which is weird coz I never signed up for any contract! Totally feels like a scam to me - watch out, folks!!!

Got a call from someone saying I had to pay for insurance on my home appliances.

I got a call saying I owed money for some insurance I don’t even have. They warned me about debt collectors if I didn’t cough up.

My mum got a call from this number saying they were from some appliance insurance company. The woman on the phone was really rude and kept insisting on speaking to whoever held the account. When I tried to get her to tell me which company she was with, she refused and just kept shouting for the account owner. I told her the house was fully furnished and my mum didn’t need any cover, which just seemed to make her angrier. Then she swore at me and slammed the phone down. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.
