Got a text from someone claiming to be my son, saying his phone was busted and he was calling from an old number. Then they started asking if I could help him out with a bill that was nearly £900 - wanted to borrow my bank card. Thankfully, I spotted it was a scam right away. My actual son had no clue about any of this and felt really upset that these nasty people try to trick pensioners like me. Stay alert, folks!
