I got a automated call from a woman’s voice saying there were two dodgy payment requests made on my bank account, adding up to about £1000. She told me to press 1 to get through to my bank’s security team. I just put the phone down. Later, I dialled the number back and spoke to a really friendly bloke, you could hear his wife in the background, sounded like he was from Dorset. I told him why I rang and said sorry for the bother. I think their number had been spoofed because they didn’t seem to know anything about the scam.
