Got a call from someone trying to convince me to sign up for some kinda investment scheme. Definitely felt like a social engineering play.

So it begins with a mistaken reply on WhatsApp, probably passed along from somewhere else. They’ll say something like, "Hey, this is my work contact, can you message me here instead?" Then after a bit of chatting, out of nowhere, they’ll try pulling you into some sort of “totally safe investment plan.” Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
