My dad got a text like that too, saying it was from a new number. Don’t reply like they ask - it’s just a trick to check if the number’s in use, then they’ll try all sorts of scams on you. Best thing is to just block the number and move on.

just got a message saying “Dad save this as my new number” and asking me to reply when I’ve saved it. Seems dodgy to me, Iv had similar ones before so I’m guessing its a scam.
