Got a text saying I came third in some sort of contest I'd never heard of. They also included a dodgy link which looked like malware, lucky for me I deleted it straight away.

Got one of those messages saying I came "third" in some prize draw, but of course, no actual reward. Just a sneaky way to make you end up signing for a bunch of rubbish stuff you definitely don’t want. Classic text scam if you ask me. I’ve blocked it now, just like all the other million dodgy messages flooding my phone lately.

They’ve been ringing me a bunch the last few days, left me like three messages saying I got 5th place in some contest or whatever. No way I’m picking up. Just another dodgy scam call.

Received a text from this number claiming I finished 5th in some contest and to click a link to find out what I won. Somehow, I really doubt it and definitely not gonna risk clicking any links.

I received a message claiming I’d won third place and a prize, with a link to click on. They never said who they were, so I’m not going to bother following it. Just sharing this here in case anyone else gets similar sketchy texts or calls.
