Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying it was my last chance to pay overdue taxes and that there was an arrest warrant out for me! I’m PAYE and also sort out my mum’s self assessment, so I know HMRC don’t operate like that or ring from a mobile. Told the bloke to quit scamming folk and find a decent job. Reported the whole thing to HMRC and Action Fraud.
