I received a rather dubious text yesterday from a so-called HMRC, but I must stress that the number they used is private, which raises my suspicions even further. They claimed I was entitled to a tax refund and provided a dodgy link to their supposed website for me to claim it. It seems all too fishy and definitely smells like a scam to me. People should be wary!

Got a message saying I’m due a tax refund with a link included, but I’m pretty sure HMRC doesn’t send texts like that. Seems dodgy to me.
