Got a call from someone looking for a Jeff, sounded like they had an Indian accent. When I told them they’d got the wrong number, they just said sorry quickly and hung up on me. This isn’t the first time I’ve had calls from different mobiles from the same person.

I’ve also registered with the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

A woman called with a weird accent, saying I had Windows on my laptop. She claimed someone was hacking into it and asked me to switch it on for a "check". I said no, told her I hardly ever use my laptop and it’s fine. Then she started saying I’d have to pay for the call, even though they were the ones phoning me?! I just called her a silly cow and hung up. Proper weirdo!

Now they’re botherin me on my mobile from different numbers. I’m gonna waste their time with rubbish surveys and spam messages. Hope they like getting loads of texts about their PPI, idiots.

Just like a lot of others have said here, this bloke said he was from some FCA thing and was trying to help with my debts. When I brought up the cops, "John" - who spoke in really bad English - suddenly went on about being properly regulated and then just ended the call.

They claimed they had my credit report and went on with some long story about a government scheme clearing debts over £5000 without any fees or interest.
