Got a text saying it was from the tax office, beginning with GOV-UK: Your tax refund is waiting to be claimed now. The message included a dodgy link which seemed quite fishy. I’d been dealing with the tax office recently about an overpayment, but I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have my phone number or send a message like that. Definitely feels like a scam.

Just got a call saying there’s an issue with my taxes, total scam don’t fall for it!

I've gotten texts claiming to be from Gov-UK about taxes a couple times now. Since I can't reply to their texts, it's usually clear when the message is a scam. I don't know if they ring you up as well, but thought I'd mention it just in case.
