This number just buzzed me, rang a single time then cut off. Strange behaviour if you ask me.

I got a call from this number claiming to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau, saying they’d got some info about me from the Financial Conduct Authority. The woman on the phone had an Indian accent, and I told her I wasn’t buying it. She mentioned she was calling from Manchester and insisted they were there to assist me, warning that if I didn’t comply, I could end up in jail. I told her all calls on my line were recorded and then she just abruptly ended the call.

The person on the phone was way too cheerful and didn't seem to know anything about my debts. If it was some debt collection or support team, they ought to have that sort of info. Definitely ask which department and who you're speaking to before handing over any details.

Got another scam call today! Some bloke claimed I owed money and was banging on about suing me. Could hear a bunch of people chatting in the background, definitely one of those dodgy call centres abroad trying to pull a fast one.
