Got a call around 3pm on 6th August from a guy with an Asian accent about a supposed overcharge on a freezer maintenance contract, I believe from Domestic & General. He said they wanted to refund me. There was loads of background noise, making it hard to hear. He avoided all the questions I asked and kept claiming it wasn’t a scam. Oddly, he used my first name straight away, which always makes me wary. Felt like he was following some script from a remote call centre abroad. I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call pretty quick.
