We've just received a text message at 15:29 on 12th April 2011 that mirrors the one previously mentioned, following a missed call from the same number a day or two before. It's rather curious, especially as we recently made a claim on our car insurance after I lost control on some icy roads and crashed into a wall over the festive period. Thankfully, the insurance covered all the necessary repairs and there were no injuries sustained, so it begs the question-what grounds would we have for seeking any further compensation? And even if we had sustained injuries, who on earth would be responsible for footing the bill? We never provided our mobile number to the insurer, making this all seem like yet another scam.

We’ve just received a text message at 15:29 on 12 April 2011, similar to the one mentioned above. Interestingly, we also had a missed call from this number a few days back. It’s quite a coincidence, considering we’ve recently reported our car insurance - I had a bit of a skiddy incident on some ice and ended up banging my vehicle against a wall over the Christmas period. Thankfully, the insurance covered the repair costs, and fortunately, neither of us was injured. So honestly, what claim do we potentially have? And even if we had suffered any injuries, who on earth would be footing the bill? We never provided our mobile number to the insurance company, so this seems like just another scam!

Received a rather dubious text from this number saying: Free Msg: Our records suggest you could claim £3750 due to an accident you've been involved in. To proceed, simply reply CLAIM to this message. If you'd prefer not to engage, text STOP. . . -------------------------. Funny thing is, we haven't had any accidents lately, so it feels like nothing more than a cheeky scam. Definitely do not respond or answer any calls from them!
