I received a text from this number claiming that I could be due £3,750 for some kind of accident I supposedly had. They instructed me to reply with 'CLAIM' if I wanted to apply, and to text 'STOP' if I wanted to opt out. I’m scratching my head over which accident they’re referring to and what records they’re talking about! We've sent back ‘STOP’ straight away. While we do participate in numerous online competitions, we're always on the lookout for options to opt out of any unsolicited contact. In fact, we seldom join competitions that ask for a phone number anyway!

Received a text from this number saying, "Our records suggest you could be eligible for £3750 regarding an accident you were involved in. Reply CLAIM to this message to apply for free. If you wish to opt-out, just text STOP." But seriously, what accident are they on about? Which records have they got? I shot back a message saying STOP. Sure, we do join a fair few competitions online, yet I'm always on the lookout for a checkbox that clearly states 'do not contact me.' Honestly, we seldom take part in competitions that ask for a phone number.
