I received a peculiar call from some chap today, and I generally tend to ignore calls from unknown numbers since I'm confined to bed and use my mobile solely for family and my GP. However, I was awaiting a call from my doctor, so I picked up. To my surprise, the man addressed me by name and started asking about a supposed head-on collision I’d been in. When I firmly stated that wasn't the case, he continued probing about whether I’d had any sort of accident. It's absolutely appalling that these insurance companies have the audacity to ring people on their personal phones and kick things off with such a callous remark. I find it utterly revolting. How can they possibly justify their actions? It makes one question how they manage to rest easy at night.
