Normally, I avoid picking up calls unless I recognise the number. But today, since I was waiting for a ring from my doctor, I decided to answer. To my shock, an automated female voice said, “Thanks for your Amazon purchase. You’ve been billed £390...”. I hung up right away. I haven’t bought anything on Amazon lately and while I did activate a new bank card yesterday, I haven’t updated Amazon with the new details. Strange that no one else has mentioned this yet. Maybe the complaints will start rolling in soon.
