Got a suspicious message the same day my brother arranged a proper repair appointment, which seemed odd. He's right next door, so I wondered if maybe they mixed up the address or had our similar surnames confused - both of us insured with Legal & General. Could be just a coincidence, but either way, it looked like a scam to me. I’ve had three messages now warning that if I don’t confirm the booking I’ll get charged a call-out fee. Never click on those dodgy links, seriously. I just deleted them straight away. Hope those scammers get nowhere!

I got a text earlier today around 2:41pm and it mentioned Pacifica. I’m actually waiting for Pacifica to come out tomorrow for an oven repair - they’re the ones Domestic and General use for things like this. I’d been in touch with them last week already. The message itself just started with "good afternoon," so I didn’t open it at first. Then I decided to check the number on this site, and honestly, I’m really glad this website exists. Big thanks!

The calls I got were from Pacifica maintenance service group. They seem to be legit engineers for maintenance work. In my case, they were ringing about fixing my AEG fridge freezer, which I had arranged via the official AEG site.

Got calls from 07588 313247 loads of times, then got a message with a link saying it was from Pacifica and an engineer was meant to come round at 09:30. Bit odd since we’re expecting an engineer, but from a different firm. Feels like their phone might’ve been compromised? Pretty sure legit companies don’t send links via mobile text like that.

I’d just finished ringing to arrange a repair through MSE electrical when out of the blue I got an email from somewhere called Pacifica. They thanked me for scheduling a service on 14/03/23 and said they’d be in touch about 3 hours ahead of the arrival time, plus told me to log into their portal. Caller was a blocked number. Bit fishy if you ask me.

I got a call from a lady named Julie at 0800 Repairs, who said she was calling about a warranty repair for something I bought from Littlewoods. A couple of days after we spoke, I got a text from this same number with Julie's name, going over some of the stuff we had discussed during our chat.

I had a similar thing happen to me. After getting in touch with Hisense about a dodgy appliance, I got a couple of texts, which is odd since they normally email you. For now, I’ve blocked the number until I find out if it’s legit or not.

Got a text about some Domestic and General repair, which caught my attention since my mother in law’s been dealing with them for a while. At first it seemed legit, but then some of the wording felt off, plus the phone number they wanted me to ring had a weird area code. After looking into it a bit more, I’m pretty certain it was a scam. Thankfully, I didn’t pass it on to my mother in law. Total rip-off!

Got a text about fixing my appliance from Electrolux, but weirdly I’d already set up the repair with AEG for a different day. The message said I’d get charged if they showed up and I hadn’t cancelled or changed the appointment. There was a link to ‘sort it out’ but seriously, do not click on that link! It looks dodgy to me.

Got a text saying I’d arranged a repair with 0800repairs - sounds legit but I’ve never dealt with them before. There was a link included but I didn’t tap on it. I’ve just deleted the message and blocked the number. Real companies don’t normally send texts from mobile numbers to their clients.

Just like what others have said, I got these random texts about some repair job I never asked for. Of course, I didn’t tap on the link at all. Then today, I received a call from someone named “Keith” using another phone number, who knew my real name and address - that really creeped me out!

Got a message from 07588 313247 about fixing something - but I don’t own any Electrolux stuff at all. The text said there’s a repair appointment set for 29/06/2021 for an Electrolux appliance, asking to arrange parking or a permit for the engineer. It also mentioned calling 01916075115 if there’s a problem or to reschedule if isolating because of covid. Signed off as 0800 Repair. Bit odd since I’ve got nothing from Electrolux!

Got a message from someone saying they were from 0800 repair about an appointment I supposedly made. Thing is, I’ve never dealt with them! I told them they’ve got the wrong person. Next thing, they send a text with a link claiming it’s info about coronavirus from 0800 repair. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
