07588060741 Summary (Read all comments)
Phone number ☎️ 07588060741 👆 is reported as a highly dangerous scam targeting bank customers by impersonating major UK banks such as Lloyds, Halifax and MBNA. Callers claim suspicious or fraudulent card activity and prompt immediate responses via text or phone to confirm transactions, often using pressure tactics. They seek sensitive information like card numbers, PINs, and security codes, sometimes demanding fees or threatening charges during calls. Several victims noted texts requesting "yes" or "no" to verify purchases that are fabricated. The scammers demonstrate detailed knowledge to appear credible and may repeatedly call or text. Genuine banks do not ask for full card details over the phone or solicit responses via unverified mobile numbers. It is strongly advised to independently verify with your bank, never disclose card data, block the numbers and report to authorities.

2 yearsSomeone called me pretending to be from Lloyds Bank, saying there was an issue with my bank account being hacked.Lloyds Bank3 yearsGot a text pretending to be from my bank, saying I needed to confirm a card payment that supposedly got declined. It asked me to reply YES or NO. I replied and right after, I got a call asking for my card number and security code. I ended the call straight away and rang 159 to check if it was really my bank, but it wasn’t - quite clearly a scam! It’s really scary how fast they act, and it’s easy to panic and make mistakes. Never share your card info over the phone. Make sure you block the number!!!3 yearsGot a call from a hidden number saying they were Halifax fraud team. Things didn’t seem right so I hung up straight away but they kept ringing me over and over. After a while they sent a text, that’s how I managed to get their mobile number.Halifax3 yearsGot a call saying somebody tried to take money from my account, but thankfully the bank had already frozen it. They wanted me to confirm if it was me or not. The mobile number seemed a bit dodgy, so I rang my bank myself and they said they hadn’t sent anything like that. Definitely a scam. Reported it to the bank right away, blocked the number and didn’t even bother to reply. Stay careful, folks!3 yearsCheers for letting us know it wasn’t you who made the payment. We’ll give you a ring as soon as we’re able, anytime between 8am and 9pm. If you need to get in touch outside those hours, please phone us on 443330459641.3 yearsThis was defo a scam call. They were pushing us to "cancel" a payment or something like that. Super dodgy. Never share any info with these types.3 yearsThis has to be a total con.3 yearsSomeone rang me saying they were from Lloyds Bank, warning me about some dodgy transactions on my account.Lloyds Bank3 yearsAn unknown caller phoned me claiming to be from Halifax’s fraud team and kept me chatting for ages. I told them they were wasting my time, and shortly after I got a standard Halifax text. Then, from the same number, I received a message just like others have mentioned - asking to reply yes or no to stop a supposed transaction. Luckily, I managed to log into my account and blocked my card at once. But then the bloke rang back, saying “Thanks for staying on the line with us for half an hour. That’s £20 a minute for this call, you’ve been conned,” and then actually laughed. I wasn’t having any of it and told him exactly what I thought.Halifax3 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be Halifax Bank, saying there was an attempt to use my daughter's card in Liverpool for some Groupon thing. They actually knew loads of info about her and her card! Feels super dodgy and definitely a scam, watch out!Halifax BankGrouponLiverpool3 yearsI got a call from 02071938737 saying there was a suspicious charge on my credit card for some music magpie service tonight. They wanted me to confirm sending a replacement card to a different address, not mine. I quickly said I’d hang up and contact my bank first. After I ended the call, they sent a text from 07588060741 asking me to reply yes or no about the purchase. Weirdly, they already knew which bank my card was with and even the last four numbers!Music Magpie3 yearsBeware of a call claiming to be from MBNA about suspicious activity on your credit card. They try to convince you they'll refund the charges, asking to review every single transaction. Afterwards, they send a text that’s meant to confirm the refund, but the message is strangely worded, pushing you to reply yes. The amounts involved can be huge, like thousands of pounds! Strangely enough, those supposed “refunds” then show up as actual purchases on your card statement! Definitely sounds like a scam to me!BEWAREMBNA3 yearsThis number is definitely trying to scam you, posing as a bank. Best to block it right away!3 yearsGot a text from this number about authorising an online purchase supposedly from Halifax. I rang my bank's fraud department to check and they confirmed it was genuine, explaining that Halifax and MBNA both belong to Lloyds Banking Group and share the same general contact number.HalifaxMBNALloyds Banking Group3 yearsI got a call earlier from a number that looked like it was MBNA. They were saying something about my account but I never asked for anything. Got a bit suspicious, so I looked up the number and turns out it’s not even their official line. Be careful, could be one of those dodgy scammers pretending to be them!MBNA4 yearsI got a text pretending to be from Lloyds Bank, saying my Platinum MasterCard ending in 3579 was used online on 30-01-2023 at The Royal Mint for £300, but the payment was declined. They told me to reply YES if it was me, or NO if not, and said not to call them, just reply to update my account quickly. It seemed really legit, especially since just before that I had another message claiming to be from Lloyds, but with no number shown, saying I'd soon get a text confirming recent activity on my card ending 3579. Thing is, there hasn’t been any activity on my account at all.Lloyds BankThe Royal MintLloyds4 yearsSomebody rang pretending to be from MBNA saying there was odd activity on my card.
