Got a message claiming it was from my daughter saying she’d lost her phone and needed cash right away. She said some bills were due and her bank had frozen her account. The texts were all on WhatsApp, asking “mum” to send money and then wanting my bank info too. First, I got an SMS telling me to contact a different number on WhatsApp. Seemed totally legit at first, but sounds dodgy to me now. Watch out for this kind of scam!
