We used to have accounts with HSBC and Midland bank but ended up shutting them down. HSBC being a Hong Kong-based bank, where there's loads of hacking and scams going on, made us wary. Recently they sent a text with a link, but we avoided clicking on it and reported it straight away. Honestly, I reckon it’s about time we cut all ties with China completely.

Got a dodgy text pretending to be from HSBC saying there was a payment try from a new device on 05/05 at 3:45pm. It told me if I didn’t do it, to check out some link like [#]hsb-payees-review-support[###]/. Looks like a proper scam to me!
