SCAM - someone pretending to be my son called asking for £2478.31 for some gadgets. He claimed he had ruined his phone by dropping it in the sink and needed a replacement urgently.

Really dodgy scammer alert. I got a WhatsApp message saying something like: Hi Mum, this is my new number because I accidentally dropped my phone in the sink. Then they claimed they were locked out of their banking app and asked if I could help by paying a bill for them. Proper sneaky attempt to get money out of me!
