Totally a scam. I noticed some dodgy charges on my credit card and rang up the bank to freeze it and get a new one sent out. Out of nowhere, this number rings me claiming to be from fraud prevention, saying they’re working alongside the bank and the police here. They tried fishing for my account details and balance info. I kept grilling them with questions and asked to speak to the actual credit card team, which clearly annoyed them. They ended up hanging up saying something like, “mate, mate, mate, I was just trying to con you.”
