Got a call from a woman claiming to be with BT, saying my internet was being accessed by loads of people and wasn’t secure. She asked if I had a mobile and how many lived with me. Then she wanted me to verify my name and address so she could send me an email "as per protocol." I told her, no way, she should confirm my details first - that’s my rule. She threatened to cut off my internet if I didn’t cooperate, I just said fine, I won’t be paying for it then. Blocked the number straight away after that.

Yesterday, I got a call from this number saying they were from the Royal Bank of Scotland, but I knew they wouldn’t call me like that. They told me there was some weird activity on my account. I checked my bank app straight away and everything looked fine, so I just ended the call. I reckon they were trying to get me to verify some personal info.
