I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, telling me my computer ID was exposed and anyone could access it. She said she’d connect me to their engineer to sort it out. Problem is, the number she called from doesn’t seem to work - when you try calling back, it just goes to a message saying the number’s not valid. These kinds of calls have been coming in heaps lately. Scammers can make it look like they’re calling from any random mobile number. Now, if I don’t recognise a mobile number, I just don’t bother answering.
