Keeps calling me a few times daily but switches the number a bit after about three rings.

Just the other day I almost got caught out by a card scam after a call from this number, they said they were from my bank about some dodgy transactions. Luckily, my card was cancelled before anything was stolen. Then I got a text too, asking me to reply Y or N about another suspicious transaction. When I said I’d call my bank myself, they got really rude and ended the call.

The caller claimed to be from ‘freedom2insure’ and said I’d spoken to them last July. They knew my name, DOB, and mobile number but called me on an old landline that’s not in any directory. I figured maybe I’d put my details on some insurance website? They asked loads of health questions and wanted my account number, which I didn’t give. I hung up when I went to grab a pen. I checked the number with 1471 and found out some folks think it might be a scam. Feeling a bit lost and don’t really know what to do next.

They said they rang me back in July about some life insurance and that I’d supposedly filled out a form. No idea what they were on about, I questioned them and then the bloke just ended the call.

My phone showed it as Possible Scam but sometimes it turns out to be someone important to talk to. This time, it was a guy about life insurance who claimed I'd contacted them before. I told him I wasn’t interested at the moment, but he kept pushing with questions. I said if I wanted to talk, I’d ring them back. Tried to be polite about it. When he said, “It won’t take long,” I mentioned I wasn’t feeling great so couldn’t chat then. He wouldn’t give up, so I just hung up in the end!

This phone number is definitely linked to scammers, I’d recommend getting an app named Hiya. It checks every incoming call and lets you know straight away if it’s from scammers, possible fraud, or spammy numbers. Proper handy tool and you can block those irritating callers too. Honestly, these people are the worst, don’t even bother picking up, don’t give them the chance to waste your time.

This number has rang my wife's iPhone three times this week. The last time they actually started chatting to her about life insurance. When she asked how they got her number, they claimed I’d been asking about life insurance. Total rubbish, as I always use a different number and would never share hers. Plus, I’m 73 - it’s hardly the age to be sorting life insurance!

Today, I had the misfortune of getting a call from this number. A chap named "Harry" was on the line, and he had the audacity to insist we’d had a conversation about life insurance last year. I informed him that this phone is strictly for business purposes, but he retorted that it didn’t matter, and that they could reach out regardless. I pointed out his lack of courtesy, and rather than back off, he launched into an aggressive tirade. Absolutely shocking behaviour! Highly unprofessional and extremely discourteous. Somebody called saying my husband had a car crash and asked for my bank info to sort out insurance for the damages. First off, we don’t have a car or even drive.
