I got a call supposedly from Currys Carphone Warehouse saying I could get a new phone as part of an 'upgradation'. Sounded legit at first since they said it wouldn’t affect my current contract and I just had to swap my number over. Even their email looked proper professional. But then I noticed they kept using weird phrases like 'up-gradation' and that’s when I figured it was a scam. Be careful with calls like that!
