Got hit with three calls in just 10 minutes, which really made me think something urgent was up. When I finally picked up the fourth call, it seemed to be someone mentioning trading standards or something like that. Didn’t stick around, ended up hanging up and blocking the number straight away.

Got a random call and could hear loads of people talking in the background like a busy office. They knew my name straight away. When I asked why a call centre was ringing me, the noise suddenly quietened down, like they knew I heard it. Then they asked if I could actually hear them. I grilled them on what a call centre needed from me and then they just hung up. Looks like a fresh tactic. Luckily, calling them out right away seems to make them quit.
