So, I got a call from someone saying they were about loft insulation. A bit suspicious, I thought, so I dialled them back. Turns out, the number belongs to a taxi company! Proper mix-up that was.

From my experience with building regs over the years, this definitely smelt like an insulation scam to me. It didn’t take long to realise the guy was just talking absolute rubbish. I’m pretty sure others felt the same judging by the other comments.

Got a missed call from 2222 but couldn’t pick up quick enough. Tried ringing back but no luck getting through. Did a quick search and it turns out it might be a scam from Kent. Pretty sus if you ask me.

Someone called, I think he said Warner Homes? Or maybe Warmer? He mentioned something about our loft being lagged. I told him we did that ourselves. Then he guessed it might be the cavity insulation, but we haven’t got any. He was quite polite but seemed quite insistent. Then he asked if maybe the previous owner had done it, but we told him we bought the house from Nev. I reckon he was just fishing for a job, and when I suggested that, he said, ‘Oh, I must have the wrong paperwork’ and hung up straight away.

This number has called me a few times already. After looking into it, I found out it’s definitely a scam. I just got a call where the person sounded really cheerful and friendly at first, but when I said “I know this is a scam,” their whole tone switched and they stopped being so nice.

Whenever I get a call from a number I don't know, and I'm a bit curious, I pick up but stay silent. Almost every time, after a second or two, I hear the line go dead with a quick click. If I catch people talking in the background, I just end the call straight away. Real callers usually leave a voicemail, so no worries.

I got a call out of the blue from someone trying to flog house insulation. He kept saying he had me down at some address, and weirdly, he said my last name right, which freaked me out a bit. How on earth do they get hold of this stuff? When he asked if I'd lived at that place, I just hung up straight away. Proper annoying, honestly.
